From the last years Kpop Danceoff competition we are now 4 organizers who all work with different areas to try and create memorable events for the Scandinavian kpop community. We are a group of youths between the ages of 19 to 21. This is to keep as close to the age of the pop culture community as possible.

We believe that more events like the one we create every year will allow not only kpop fans to meet but also dance itself and asian pop culture to spread and grow tighter. Kpop has recently grown to become a big hit around the world but has in many places become mainstream to such a point that there is no longer a bond between the fans. We want to preserve that bond with these events. Are you with us?

 History

November 29th 2013 was the date of the fist Kpop Danceoff, then called "Kpop Showdown". It became a great hit within the kpop community bringing in more than 200 visitors and competitors all to enjoy a fantastic evening created by young individuals from the community itself.

The event was held at Kulturatom in Angered, Gothenburg and organized by K.sun Yuen, Hanin Talal and Sumejja Duric. They created an event full off excited fans, merchandise, food, karaoke, a dance workshop with NeW G (Tina and Dolly) a french dance crew, and a competiton that was unforgettable.

The winners at "Kpop Showdown" 2013 were Toy Story crew and Fancy inte the showcompetition and Emma in freestyle.

November 22nd, 2014 was the second time Kpop Danceoff was held and even this year it became popular with not only fans and competitors but also with families and non kpop related dancers. Once again we brought in lots of people and this time we were 320 people sharing and creating a spectacular event. The location was changed to Arena 29 but this did not stop pople from all over Gothenburg and Sweden to come as guests of competitors.

The event itself was sperated into two diffrent settings. The activity house were people gathered to wait for the competition and participate in many Korean related activities such as norebang (karaoke), korean food, korean TV-games and merchendise. The competition hall is were the magic was created. Here people wached mindblowing preformances by the groups and the freestylers.

The hosts and judges for that year were: Kspazzing, youtubers who react to kpop MVs from the UK, Team LOKO who won kpop world festival in London and Mike Gamble, an amasing freestyler and street dancer from the USA.

At the end of the day everyone invited said that this is one of the best evenings they have been to thanks to of the warm and fun aura.

2015 had grown big enoght to dream bigger and make bigger. The most attractive thing about 2015s Kpop Danceoff was our judge Bong Young Park, a high heel and urban streetdancer from the korean dance academy 1millon studios. In additon to the cometition event we had the opportunity to make a workshop that got bigger than any of us ever expected. We sould out 2 workshops in 4 minutes and had to ask Young Park to hold a third one!

Kpop Danceoff 2015 held on December 6th became the biggest so far with 20 Dance groups  from ALL OVER Sweden competeing for the winning prize. Even though the event was held on a Sunday and the weather was not on our side we managed to squize in 350 guest and over 50 competitors and so that years show was the greatest so far!

The judges for 2015 were: Alyssa Chloé from LA, an amazing vouge and wacking dancer. Tammy from London (team LOKO), won kpop world festival in London. And Bong Young Park from Seoul (1million Studios) a fun urban street dancer.

Winners were: Swe-T in showcompetition an MAGIC in freestyle.
